- The first thing you should know, before watching this course, is what version of After Effects you're working with. Currently, we are working with Adobe After Effects CC 2016. You can find what version of After Effects you're running by going to the After Effects menu and choosing About After Effects. On a PC, this is going to be available to you under the Edit menu. If you are running a previous version and have an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, simply go to your Creative Cloud application, and download the latest version under Apps.
